Ellis has spent most of his adult life helping business and home owners improve their properties.
First as a builder, remodeler and maintenance person for commercial and residential properties.
Then for the last eight years, working for one of the most technical and detail-driven (and expensive) solar installers in the entire nation; designing and selling hundreds of solar and battery systems that he monitored for two years after installation to ensure they performed exactly as he’d promised.
In order to stay current with this quickly evolving industry, Ellis received ongoing training for these eight years, to a depth that most solar companies do not bother with (or cannot afford.)
Ellis knows all the “tricks of the trade,” both the sales side of the equation, as well as the design, performance, financial, utility and equipment sides of the equation. He knows the questions homeowner’s should be asking but don’t, due to the newness of this entire industry in people’s lives.
Ellis has always built long term business relationships with his clients based on genuine goodwill, trust and service, answering their questions for years after the job was complete.
Now completely free and independent, Ellis brings his unusual degree of training and experience to his new solar consulting business, where he provides truly impartial guidance to homeowners, helping them make the best decision for their specific goals and home.
In his spare time he enjoys gardening, hiking, mushroom hunting with his kids, cooking, and creating functional art and furniture.
He is fascinated with plants and can ID about 100 species by sight. He has studied ornamental pruning, and is a lifelong meditator. He also offers a humane catch-and-release service locally for rattlesnakes.
Ellis is a California CSLB Licensed Home Improvement Salesperson, registration #106938SP
